The hero has a humble beginning and a very tight bond with his family and friends who are trying to make ends meet. The movie is about values which are often absent in today's society. This family drama also shows what power corruption can have on people.Rakesh, a kingpin behind an illegal drug network in Mumbai is holding a party on his yacht when he is cornered by the police. Before dying, he releases a white pigeon to seek help from his brother Rohit Mehra, who owns a gym in Delhi. Rohit thinks that it is his birthday gift, but when the bird lands on him, he realises that it is actually some kind of SOS message. He flies down to Mumbai where Rakesh has been cremated by his friends and foes alike so no one can be implicated in the crime scene. Rohit is shocked to find his brother dead and instead of getting him help, his henchmen try to eliminate him as well. He escapes and reaches Delhi where he meets with Dr. Siddhant Arya, a scientist who is on the verge of discovering the cure for cancer. He gives Rohit a formula that can save someone from any kind of poison and requests him to protect this secret until he completes the research and gets the answer.Krrish (Hrithik Roshan) is an orphan who lives with his uncle (Rajesh Vivek) and aunt (Yogita Bali). He has been mute since birth and does not speak, but understands everything around him perfectly. His uncle, who runs an NGO with the help of local children, hates him because he is unable to express his emotions through words. He is also angry with Rohit for having abandoned his family after his father's death 11 years ago. Krrish is in love with Priya (Priyanka Chopra), a young girl whose father is in prison for murdering her mother. She resists the relationship because she is afraid of not being able to take care of him due to financial reasons. Her elder sister has been kidnapped by Rakesh's gang when they came to know about the formula Dr. Siddhant had created in his lab which can cure any disease even cancer in just four days if administered in correct dosage. The gang believes Rohit and Dr. Siddhant stole the formula and is after them. Rakesh's henchmen kidnap Rohit and Priya takes him to her home to protect him. On his way back, Krrish meets Priya, who abuses him because he can't speak. He however understands everything she says and runs away from her with the intention of saving her family from Rakesh's henchmen like he had saved Rakesh on a previous occasion.
